There have been two Ware County CERT training classes being carried out this month. Each consisting of 2 full days of training. Below are some pictures from the 2 training days (July 23rd & 30th) for the new CERT volunteers. With these 2 classes being held, it will mean that there will be over 20 new CERT team members joining our Ware County community by the end of August.

During the 2 days, the new CERT members where trained on all elements and what to do in the case of terrorist attacks, to hurricane’s, tornado’s, fires and more. Most of the time was taken studying, however you’ll see that there was some ‘hands on’ training as well.

Although the subject is a serious one, everyone seemed to have fun with the course, so who says you can’t make learning enjoyable. Perry Blackburn (CERT Coordinator for Ware County and one othe the trainers for this course) thanked all the other trainers involved and secondly all the volunteers who took 2 days out of their busy lives to become trained as CERT members for the good of the community.
