Crews will continue to focus on holding and patrolling the fire lines around the fires perimeter as well as mop up operations. A water tanker operator assisting with fire suppression efforts sustained minor injuries yesterday
in an automobile accident.
The Sweat Farm Again Fire received rain on Monday (primarily on the west side). Scattered and spotty showers impacted the Racepond Fire. Crews remain on the lookout for new lightning strikes from Sunday’s thunderstorm event. Firefighters continue to patrol the fire lines and extinguish remaining hot spots.
