This is a system that everyone needs to monitor for developments:
SHOWER ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH AN ELONGATED AREA OF LOW PRESSURE EXTENDING FROM NEAR THE YUCATAN PENINSULA TO THE WEST COAST OF FLORIDA HAS DECREASED DURING THE LAST SEVERAL HOURS. IN ADDITION UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ONLY MARGINALLY CONDUCIVE FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT. THERE IS A MEDIUM CHANCE 30 PERCENT OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL OR SUBTROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES NORTHWARD OR NORTH-NORTHEASTWARD.
REGARDLESS OF DEVELOPMENT THIS WEATHER SYSTEM COULD STILL PRODUCE PERIODS OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE FLORIDA PENINSULA AND THE EASTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
