… Rain returns with an Isolated Strong Thunderstorm possible….

… Gale Warning and Small Craft Advisory for Atlantic waters…

Synopsis & Timing

Rain will overspread northeast Florida and southeast Georgia this morning and continue through tonight.

A few thunderstorms may develop and become strong to marginally severe…mainly near the Gulf coast of northeast Florida(along and west of I-75 corridor) this afternoon and evening. Isolated strong winds gusts are possible in any thunderstorms that develop in that area. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

Strong wind shear is present but instability is weak which will limit the areal coverage for severe weather.

Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected across the area through tonight. Isolated 3 inch amounts are possible mainly over southeast Georgia.

For Marine interests…a Gale Warning is in effect for the offshore Atlantic waters tonight and Saturday.

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the near shore Atlantic waters today through Saturday.
