Synopsis & Timing
A bank of persistent sea fog with visibilities ranging between a quarter and 1 mile will continue to impact the adjacent Atlantic coastal waters tonight. This evening the fog started to move onshore over the NE Florida coast, which will impact the A1A corridor, the I-95 corridor and the JAX metro area during the evening commute.
The dense fog is expected to overspread both inland SE Georgia and NE Florida approaching the I-75 corridor after midnight. The dense fog will persist through sunrise Thursday then will begin to erode inland by midday while persisting over the adjacent marine waters.
Periods of dense fog are expected through the end of the week.
