Synopsis & Timing

As we head into a busy travel weekend, we wanted to provide a head’s up to a heavy rainfall event taking shape across Southeast Georgia & Northeast Florida as an area of low pressure crosses the region from the Gulf of Mexico late Saturday through early Monday.

  • The most widespread, persistent heavy rainfall will overspread the local area Saturday Night through Sunday Night
  • Most areas expect 2-4 inches of rain
  • More Flood Prone Areas SE Georgia near Altamaha River basin & coastal communities: Could see 4-6 inches of rain
  • Monitor for potential Flood Watches (heads up to potential flooding issues)
  • Low potential for strong storms Sunday afternoon & Sunday Night – Hail potential

Rainfall will gradually taper off from west to east Monday.
